FIRST TIME VISITORS

Your first visit to Grace Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home"! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

1. What's the morning schedule?
Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. where you can choose to attend a class that best meets your needs and schedule.  And yes, there are classes for adults as well as children.  Sunday School ends at 10:45 a.m. with coffee and refreshments just prior to the worship service, which begins at 11:00 a.m.

2. What's here for my kids?

Children love to come to a church where there are Christians who care about them and make their time at church fun and inspiring.  During the main worship time the caring staff in our nursery watch the younger children.  The older nursery-aged children, up to six years old, are provided with age-appropriate projects and Bible stories.  The older children, up to eleven years old, spend the first 15-20 minutes in the Sanctuary participating in the singing and special music during our regular worship service.  At the end of the music portion of the service, and just prior to the Pastor's message, they are dismissed to a Junior Church service.  This does two things:  it allows them to hear the message at their grade level and makes it possible for the parents to concentrate on the morning’s message.  It has been our experience that children get a lot more out of the message when it is presented in a way they can comprehend and relate to.

3. What’s on the schedule for adults, and what should I expect?
Most adults attend worship service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of our worship team and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and inspiring Biblical message from Pastor Mitchell. The service is a little over an hour in length. Throughout the week we will host a variety of different smaller Bible classes where you are invited to meet people, enjoy some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life-stage. The best way to get to know people at Grace Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.

4. How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Grace Baptist Church for members or guests.  Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Grace Baptist Church!

5. Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
